In accordance with Elections Code Section 13112 (b)(1)(A), the Secretary of the State's Office conducted a drawing of letters of the alphabet to determine the randomized alphabet to be used in the March 3, 2020 election. City of Avalon Measures Appearing on the Ballot
Measure SS -A measure enacting a one-quarter percent (1/4%) transaction and use (sales) tax, generating approximately $240,000 annually for general City services until ended by voters.
Measure E - An advisory measure seeking the voter's opinion as to whether the City of Avalon should permit adult use/recreational cannabis delivery services to operate within the City's limits in addition to medical cannabis delivery services which are already permitted.
Measure F - An advisory measure seeking the voter's opinion as to whether the City of Avalon should permit cannabis dispensaries (storefronts) to operate within the City's limits in addition to medical cannabis delivery services which are already permitted.
