City of Avalon Title VI Plan 

HOW TO FILE A TITLE VI COMPLAINT

Any person who believes he or she may be have been discriminated against on the basis of race, color, or national origin may file a complaint with the City of Avalon's City Manager's Office.

The complaint must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discrimination date. Written complaints may be sent to City of Avalon, P.O. Box 707, Avalon, CA 90704 or an online complaint form may be accessed at the City's website www.cityofavalon.com.

Once completed, the complaint form should be forwarded to City of Avalon, City Manger's Office at P.O. Box 707, Avalon, CA 90704.

In addition to utilizing the Civil Rights complaint process at the City of Avalon, a Complainant may file a Title VI complaint concerning race, color, or national origin discrimination with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Office of Civil Rights, Attention: Title VI Program Coordinator East Building, 5th Floor-TCR 1200 New Jersey Avenue SE Washington D.C., 20590.
